Ergonomic design provides the feel and balance of a high quality surgical instrument, reducing the stress and tension on your hands during demanding procedures. Important safety features like sealed switching components and our antirotation hex lock fitting help to ensure the integrity of the device, and the safety of both surgeon and patient. Standard features on all Valleylab pencils include a removable 1 in. (2.5 cm) blade or needle electrode and attached cord with sturdy 3-prong connector. Most pencils also accept any standard 3/32 in. (0.24 cm) diameter electrode. Handswitching pencils are available with either push-button (E2516) or rocker switch (E2515) controls to accommodate the surgeon's preference. Switches have a high level of tactile feedback - surgeons can hear and feel the switch engage, preventing accidental activation of the device. These pencils are also available with the accessory holster (E2515H, E2516H). Footswitching pencils provide exceptional versatility for general electrosurgery procedures. Power control pencil enables the surgeon to adjust power settings from the sterile field, for a more rapid response to changing surgical conditions. Push-button controls adjust the cut and coag settings, triggering auditory cues and visual displays on the generator for instantaneous confirmation of settings. |
