Using radiofrequency current, the Cool-tip™ RF ablation system quickly heats and coagulates large volumes of tissue. Smart generator technology and internal electrode cooling work together to simultaneously deliver pulsed energy that automatically responds to tissue changes. This unique design yields the largest ablation possible in minimal time.

Radiofrequency ablation procedures can be performed percutaneously, intraoperatively, or laparoscopically, depending on the physician’s discretion. Radiofrequency ablation is an excellent alternative or adjunct therapy for patients with non-resectable liver lesions who may otherwise be unable to be successfully treated with surgery or chemotherapy.

The new Cool-tip™ RF switching controller extends the current Cool-tip™ system's capabilities enabling physicians to treat patients with up to three electrodes simultaneously. This allows larger tissue ablations or the creation of multiple separate ablations in one cycle.
