Course Description:  This course will provide education on the indications and treatment options for radiofrequency ablation.  It will highlight the multidisciplinary approach to radiofrequency ablation and provide insight into the successful ablation practices of our top surgeons and radiologists. 

 

The objectives for the course: 

 

1.        Review the science and technology of thermal ablation.

2.        Discuss the clinical indications and outcomes of ablation.

3.        Review ablation techniques, imaging, complications and follow-up monitoring.

4.        Discuss building an ablation team and an ablation practice at your facility.

5.        Provide information on coding, billing and reimbursement of ablation procedures.

6.        Review the operation of the Cool-tip RF ablation system. 

7.       Provide hands-on experience with RF ablation, including a bench lab.
