Meet the Staff
Jan
Fickling, RN, CNOR, is a Senior Clinical Product Specialist
with Valleylab. Prior to taking this position nine years ago, Jan
had over 20 years nursing experience in ICU, emergency care, and as
a perioperative nurse in hospital and ambulatory settings. Ms. Fickling’s
15 years experience as a perioperative nurse includes orthopedic and
cardiovascular specialties, staff management, and surgical services
materials management. As a member of the Valleylab 24 Hour Clinical
Information Hotline, Jan supports customers with routine and urgent
matters pertaining to Valleylab products and electrosurgical safety.
Her position as a Clinical Specialist provides her the opportunity
to inservice nurses, surgeons, and Valleylab employees. Jan has been
a contributor to the Valleylab Clinical Information Hotline News
since 1996 and has published an article in an international journal,
New World Health, Theatre & Surgery, “Placement
of the ‘Patient Return Electrode’”.
Cherie
Ryan Loeffler, BSN, RN, CNOR, is a Senior Clinical Product
Specialist with Valleylab. Prior to joining Valleylab 9 years ago,
Cherie had 14 years perioperative nursing experience in hospital and
ambulatory practice settings. Her positions included staff nurse and
coordinator, specializing in orthopedic and cardiovascular services,
head nurse, and materials manager. Cherie attended Louisiana State
University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from
the LSU Medical & Nursing School. She trained for one year in
the operating room at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans before relocating
to Colorado for 13 additional years of perioperative nursing in the
Denver area. She has been a member of AORN for many years and was
CNOR certified in 1996. As a member of the Valleylab 24 Hour Clinical
Information Hotline, Cherie supports customers with urgent and routine
questions about Valleylab products and electrosurgical safety, as
related to patient care. Her experience as a Clinical Product Specialist
affords her the opportunity to educate nurses, surgeons, and Valleylab
employees. Cherie has been a contributing writer to the Valleylab
Clinical Information Hotline News since 1996.
